Admissions Requirements

To apply to the Online Master of Science in Business Analytics (OMSBA) program at William & Mary, you must submit or fulfill the following admissions requirements:

  • A completed online application
  • The application fee of $100 or a fee waiver
  • Official academic transcripts (from all institutions attended)
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • At least two years of professional work experience or coursework demonstrating proficiency in business
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Personal essay
  • Resume/CV
  • A video or phone interview with Admissions (conducted in person, online or via telephone after an initial review of applications)
  • Demonstrated business acumen through any of the following ways:
    • Possess two years of relevant professional work experience
    • Successfully complete a prior undergraduate or graduate program in business or coursework in corporate finance, accounting, marketing and operations
    • Successfully complete the following Coursera.org courses, including those from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with certification:
      • Introduction to Corporate Finance
      • Introduction to Financial Accounting
      • Introduction to Marketing
      • Introduction to Operations Management
  • Domestic applicants lacking a strong quantitative background and with an undergraduate GPA below 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale) are recommended to submit GRE/GMAT test scores, but all international applicants are required to submit their GRE/GMAT Score Reports
  • Proof of Proficiency of English (TOEFL or IELTS scores) for non-U.S. citizens
